In my experience I found only few tweeters with voice coil to be melt. As a % what is your rough estimate of melt coils as opposed to other type of failure, in your experience? Mine was very low. Not .......

Phase switch is provided only as a convenience so you can quickly invert a phase instead swaping wires to the sub. Valiable phase is for more advanced adjustments where one has way of measuring things .......

The circuitry is wrong. If you use polarized capacitors it will blow up. If they are non-polarized it will work fine. To use polarised caps, reverse + and - on schematic, or flip around all 4 diodes. .......
