Look at that outfit in England (can't remember their name) as an example of the marketing blather that must be undertaken to create that compelling song of promise.
This is right in there with many of the infomercials on late night TV, IMHO, all taken from the book of P.T. Barnum book of marketing.
BTW, have I modded audio gear over the years? Sure have, like the Toshiba 3950, Hafler gear, etc. Did it work? Well, sometimes. Was it fun to do myself? Sure was but that's why I like this hobby so I can play with electronics (by training but never really used as a career).
