Mike,I would take a good look at the new offerings from Ron Welborne. I have the 'discontinued' Laurels and they are excellent. One of my Laurels is off to Ron for a repair, my fault. My sister heard my 45 amp and decided to spend 10K on a 2 channel rig. She will be getting one of Ron's new 300B amps, tube rectified, and pre. Ron does not know that yet. Ron changed the circuit and the new amps are not so dependent on NOS tubes. A good thing, unless you have a good supply of tubes. I do. Talk to Ron, he is a good guy.
I'm still struggling with the TT and will not quit. It just does not
kill digital yet. So I must be doing something wrong. It took me a long time to get SET 'right' and the TT is just another challenge.I speak my mind and, hopefully, tell the truth on this forum because
posts are often taken as gospel. So if I pissed you and Baggs off by telling the truth about what I am hearing, so be it.
