think the majority of people buying high-end gear actually bought CD players in the beginning? "Your right, it took 12-13 years for me to find a digital front end that was close to my TT.

output transformers, higher powered tube amps for our horribly inefficient speakers and the recognition of the
importance and use of better passive parts such as the use of polypropylen and -styrene caps."Another advance is the availability of high quality vacuum tubes. 5-10 years ago I found it very difficult to find good tubes. Today it is much easier to find excellent new tubes as well as NOS tubes. I thank the WWW for that!
