single disc player (currently own a NAD 513 3-disc changer) or a transport/DAC combo with a smoother top end. Don't want to go for a tube based CD player (might be overkill). I like the idea of having tubes in preamp and amp and leaving it at that. The only thing I want to maintain is the smoothness of presentation thru-out.Also, I'm very interested in the Bel Canto upsampling DAC1. I like the idea behind the design. If I go this way I'll use a DVD player as transport.
