Met,So this boy is an amp, as well as a reverb tank and tremolo? Or what are the Mullard EL84 power tubes being used for?
Does it use a Accutronics spring tank?
Sounds like a 30 watt head unit. With Mullards, must be set up for retro 60's sound. Class AB1, right?
BTW---I'm starting a Silver Faced Fender Showman head. Going to retro the circuit to Bassman Reverb. TS 5881 and RCA 12AY7, TFK ECC83's in the reverb recovery, tremolo driver, and phase inverter. Second gain stage another TFK ECC83.
I like the tone of those 12AY7 mated to the TS 5881's. Should out out around 45 watts.
Two other boys I'd love to re-do is the early 1962 Marshall Bluesbreaker that used the MOV KT-66 tubes and their 18 watt head units. Ballsy, bluesy great amps. FYI: There is a shop in England that winds transformers like the old Hygrades. It's the only way to really get that Marshall tone out of these lower powered amps.
