I'm not sure the design is all to blame. The internal layout and design is very clean. It is also very easy to improve on. It would be difficult to source the case and power supply and transformer at the price point in the states. I think that is one reason Wayne Waananen likes it so. He looks at the Le Amp and sees a Hafler of modern times. NOrh also limited the product again to a price point. With some of the additional upgrade in components that Wayne is working on, it could make a very good product. I can't guess to what it would compare to, but the basic components are there. However at some point the IC chip will ultimately be the limiting factor. Brian Cheney's review felt it did compare well with other more expensive amplifiers. He didn't have a dc capacitor modified Le Amp to listen to. The difference is not subtle. It is very noticeable - especially in details and soundstage and imaging. It really makes a big difference. That's why I named my review Le Amp - Where's the music. Taking out that Bennic capacitor freed the music out of the bottle. I'm glad you've been able to look past the commercial aspects of me selling my amps. I feel much better being up front about that; than I would keeping it a secret and making all the review work useless after the fact did come out. We all know eventually that information does come out. Ask Clinton about those issues. Anyway, I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and hope the review was educational. Dennis
