When I started my 2ch seperate system in december, I knew I was going to eventually upgrade from my nine year old Rega planar 2. After getting my CD source settled in and tweaked (Arcam CD92 w/ Viper v2) I felt that my good CDs sounded better than the old Rega. With some advice from the guys on the Vinyl forum, especially Ken Lyon, I got rid of the VPI isolation base and got a decent Sonus rack . Now the old Rega /Denon 160 had a nicer ,more real and lush sound than the Arcam. The Arcam still had more detail , but not as musical. Six weeks ago I received my Rega P25 w/ Dynavector 20XH . Last thursday, The Rega and all the interconnects, powercords etc that I have added since december brokein and came together. WOW!! It don't get no better than this vinyl . I am glad I didn't spend more on my digital source. Dollar for dollar, ( CD=$1500+$675 for Viper, Vs. Vinyl=$1600 ), the vinyl is way better , and that's not even counting the used records for $3-$5 in good condition .
