Gannet's dead-on right.There's a huge amount of music on vinyl out there for CHEAP. You can build a collection for peanuts. Even '90s music, if you like dance, rap and indie rock. And as for everything else, he's right: there is a ton of music that has never come out on CD.
Get over to the Vinyl Asylum and browse the many posts on how to get started. If you like tweaking, there's nothing more tweakable than a turntable. And if you don't, then there are sturdy, reliable rigs you can purchase instead.
