You've just highlighted the whole point the original poster was trying to make. SOME audiophiles focus on creating the most transparent system possible that attempts to let the source material through as faithfully as possible. Others do not, some desire the ultimate in realism any distortion or euphonics that make the music seem more real and emotional is desired.Its all about personal preference
