Joe's advice is good. When I powered mine up I followed his instructions and all went well. Well, OK, no smoke or anything but I had a problem with the bias voltage which was traced back to one unsoldered lead on the bias supply diode on the new cap board. How in the world I forgot to solder that lead I'll never know. After I corrected that little problem all was well.
If you wired any of the electrolytic caps wrong you'll know it right away. I did that once when replacing the 50MFD caps on my other Stereo 70. Not pretty and quite startling.
All you really need is the 1A Quicks for initial power and then the normal 3A Slo's. Just for safety, I used a Sovtek GZ-34 for initial power up. No way was I risking one of my Mullards since the amp blew two other Sovtek's before I rebuilt it.
