Prior to my rebuilding one of my 70's, I greatly preferred the Sylvania 7199's. I think the consensus here is mostly in favor of the RCA's, so after I rebuilt it I put the RCA's back in. It sounds so damn good with the RCA's that I haven't tried the Sylvanias again, but I intend to.I'm curious about the JJ E34L's...have you compared them to SED =C=? The SED's are the best sounding tubes I've tried to date but I have not heard the JJ's. If you've tried them both I'd be interested in hearing your impressions.
