How is your refurbishing coming along. I have the same model listed for sale on Craig's list. To bring it back to spec before posting it for sale I changed a few bad caps with Black Gate. The large power supply caps checked out OK so it was a cheap fix. Most of the resistors were reasonable. A few had drifted too far and had to be tossed. The biggest improvement after that was replacing the RCA inputs with high-end gold plated WBT. Now the unit accepts high-end interconnects. I don't know if David Hafler designed the Stereo 400 but I used to own a DH 110 pre-amp and had to upgrade the RCAs on that as well simply because it wouldn't accept decent interconnects.
Best of luck with your Dynaco. For a solid-state amp it doesn't sound half bad.
