New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

here are some DVD-Audio's that have impressed me both musically and sonically

Cannonball Adderley: Somethin' Else 192/24
Antill: Corroboree Suite - Classic Records 96/24
Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington - Classic Records 96/24
Miles Davis: Tutu - Warner Bros. 96/24
Mickey Hart: Over the Edge and Back 96/24
Alan Parsons: Turn of a Friendly Card and I Robot - Classic Records 192/24
Percussion XX - Arts Music 96/24
Weavers: Reunion at Carnegie Hall - Classic Records 96/24

Also honestly I never heard of Foo-fighters until ZS KEKL's post.

My comment about what type of SACD listeners is based on what type of releases are the most common on SACD, doesn't mean people don't listen to other types. So if you go to SA-CD.net and look at the releases you will see the majority are Classical followed by Jazz, and then Classic Rock. There are a few Bluegrass, County, Folk and world recordings. But very little modern Rock / Pop music.

Anyway it is good to have both high resolution Digital formats because if something is not avaialble in one it may be in the other.

Happy listening,
Teresa
