ZS's modus operandi becoming more and more of a crazy anachronism as time goes on.It's gone from prodding, to inflammatory, to tired, to weird, to outright bizarre, over the years.
I'm actually pretty interested in how long he keeps this up. The fact of the matter is there is no more format war to invoke. Both camps have moved laterally in several directions, and as I said a long time ago, hi-rez in general has become diluted.
If there is still a "format war" (it's more like a couple of old men playing checkers at this point, than a 'war') - there are more than two sides now, and the formats' threats are no longer 'eachother'.
DVDA vs SACD? Who cares. DVDA/SACD vs everything else? Yeah, that's kind of an issue.
ZS's two-headed snake will curl around here and bite him on the ass eventually (you can decide which head is the ass); he cements himself more and more as a kook with every wierd melodramatic post.
I used to get angry. Now it's just ponderous.
