New DVD-Audio music releases and talk about the latest players.

could it be because BMG and Sony are only releasing their best sounding recordings on SACD? Such as:

The recently released BMG/Sony SACDs:
Big Guns, The Very Best of Rory Gallagher (BMG/Sony) Just released
Jeff Wayne: The War of the Worlds (BMG/Sony) Just released
plus <10 more> RCA Living Stereo SACDs (BMG) July 28, 2005
and at Universal 5 more Mercury Living Presence SACDs.

So it looks like the less than perfect sounding recordings are going to DualDisc and the best sounding to SACD. But poor DVD-Audio is gasping for air with only AIX, Classic, MDG and a few other small labels supporting it.

SACD is high resolution for people who care as much about sound quality as they do about the performance.

DualDisc is for people who want lots of extra content: Web links, Videos, lyrics on screen etc.

So you see these to formats are not at war with each other as they serve different listeners.

Happy listening,
Teresa
