I pulled the Tels out of my T last night. There was TMI or too much detail . It distracted me from the music. I went back to "long plate" Mullards, but will most likely return to my old standby, "halo" getter Amperex 7316. I have had the Tel 802S for a year, and just had to roll them in. Like most tubophiles, you just have to have at least one pair of each the best. I also have a pr of smooth plate Tels that I might try.
There is very little difference in the sound of my V12R in triode mode and your "6packs". Thanks for your tube combo on the 98L. I'll try it this weekend. I do have a pr of TS "round plates" comming that I have not tried.
