Hello Vinnie,
I have a dedicated power supply for the clock so it is on all the time. I wouldn't think that there would be any problem having it on all the time. I don't think it would damage the DSP chip in any way. Please correct me if I am wrong. All I know is the player has been on repeat for 2 days and not one glitch. It is working flawlessly. I will let you know if any issues pop up. By the way, I have done many other clock installs and have always had them "on all the time" and have never had a problem. Take care and good luck, Ed
