My mistake in so far as I should not have included digital oversampling filters.
As for ASRC's they use polyphase filters and each subfilter of a polyphase filter is a digital low pass filter operating at Fs/2.

a blatant impossibility."Rubbish.I can do anything I want prior to altering the sample rate. Why I can even filter and not alter the sample rate. How else can one build a decimator if one does not limit the bandwidth by filtering prior to sample rate decrease.
