I am not familiar with your system--However a few things to consider:1) The Carys are heavily discounted; so the better comparison might be the with the 303/200...
2)I previously owned a 303/200, and I now have a Simaudio Nova. In contrast to another posting, I do not find the Nova to be bright or strident at all. Ironically, I find that the way the Nova handles the high frequencies to be its' strong point--and what puts it a notch above the 303/200. It is extremely smooth--CDs that I used to find strident, are now very listenable.
3)The 303/200 has that Cary "sound" that is very addictive. However, it could get "splashy" in the highs at times. I also had no use for the upsampler--I realize that I am probably in the minority; but 90% of the time, I prefered the standard mode. Having said that, I still consider the 303/200 to be a very fine player--just not quite as good as the Nova.
