I oouldn't say. I didn't get the chance to hear the others. There was a dealer that carried the Denon, Yamaha and Marantz as well as a Technics model, but it was peak Covid and I wasn't going anywhere. I bought unheard based on reviews and recommendations here and elsewhere, WITH a 30 day NQA return. It was clear I wasn't returning it from day one. I think if you order from Marantz they have a 60 day NQA return policy. I bought from an online (also B&M) dealer linked below. Safe and Sound. Flawless service. The Ruby is limited and they were one of the few that had them in stock, and an open box for a few hundred less than new.
There were a couple of things that I didn't like or need in the SACD 30N, it has a built in HEOS streamer app that seemed a little limiting to me. I have a streamer that I connect via SPDIF or Toslink and it works with everything. I also didn't care for the appearance, at least in the photos. The Ruby is beautiful.
I was also building a new system from scratch. If there are other things in your system that need attention I wouldn't think the difference would be that much. I've never been a golden ear and I did have the $$$ to go for the SACD 10 ($8,000) but I didn't think I would get that much more out of it for an extra $4,000. I wish speaker buying was as easy. Still haven't been able to get out and listen to those.
