RE: I would be curious to hear about the other Dacs you compared

Oddly, I haven't tried too many DAC's in the $1000-2000 range.

My last DAC was a NuPrime Evolution DAC. Prior to that it was PS Audio, Topping, Schiit, among others.

The Evo DAC was amazingly detailed and sweet, but the Gustard has it beat 8 ways to Sunday on realism, power, and contrast - with no loss of detail.
