RE: Well?

Thanks for checking up. We are still waiting to close, so still in the "no major purchases zone" from the bank. Was supposed to be this week, now it looks like Monday at the earliest.

Of course I'm on my way up to the skate shop to pick up a pair of $1,000 custom boots PLUS $700 blades for my skater. I can pay cash for that since the shop and I are old $$$ friends and there's no risk. Buying the cd box across the country, definitely using a credit card. Last check with the dealer the OB and some NIB's of all the SACD players were in stock (SA-10, Ruby, and 30n).

Good news is I got my old Wavelength 300B amp fixed. It's been dead for years, but I finally found someone to take it on and he did a great job. It was a loose choke that was shorting to the chassis and blowing fuses. He cleaned that up and also fixed something with "parasitic oscillations" whatever they are. AND my 25 year old WE 300B's are still at 90%. So I've been listening to that and rethinking whether I need a new amp. It sounds great, loses steam on my Avalons, but plays pretty well in my desired dB range. No remote though, so either long speaker cables or long IC's.

Speaking of, are the Marantz boxes particular to IC's and power cords? Never really been a golden ear cable person, but I could spend a little on something of quality if I have to.
