I'm not quite sure what it is I'm supposed to do with something like that.I'm looking to play the music I have now, on discs, both RB and SACD. As far as downloads, the NativeDSD database and the Marantz specs say the KI Ruby has sample rate for USB B in at 2.8, 5.6, and 11.2 Mhz, which is 64, 128 and 256. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the specs. so, there's certainly that possibility.
So the player I'm looking at does everything I want, NOW. I'm not at all interested in ripping my collection, so the transport is good, the DAC is good for RBCD's, and it's an SACD player with a DAC that accepts USB input at those rates. I'll admit I may be fundamentally wrong, but it seems pretty near future proof (as digital goes) for me.
ETA: I've asked over in classical about sources for DSD128 and 256, if you have somewhere to suggest I find classical recordings in those formats let me know. I'll have to try them out on the new player and see what they sound like.
Help me out if I'm missing something.
