iFi SPDIF iPurifier?

I'm over the moon with my new Gustard A18 DAC, a really fantastic device. However I've noticed that when I listen to CDs (which are my primary source, still) over coaxial input of the DAC, it has a tendency to sound slightly soft and lacking precision compared to Spotify from the PS4 through optical input.
I mean, Spotify doesn't sound BETTER (of course it doesn't!) but there are SOME aspects of the presentation I like better, the CD sounds a tiny bit "blurred", "rounded" sometimes (it's tiny, but it's there).

As a CD transport, I use a super old Revox B226, from 1990. It's a good machine with a great mechanic, BUT something tells me the SPDIF output might be a bit jittery compared to a modern equivalent.

Would a iFi SPDIF iPurifier 2 be worthwhile to elevate the performance when listening to CDs?
