So, after watching and reading a lot of reviews, done by very different reviewers in very different contexts (entry level, high end, headphones) I think I've settled on purchasing, as soon as possible, the Denafrips Ares II discrete R2R DAC.
At first I wasn't that interested, because in my mind R2R discrete couldn't possibly be precise and defined and fast enough for my music tastes... but someone told me differently, and I started to look around, and wow. That DAC is bound to work perfect in my system.
Now money is very tight these days, and this feels like buying a high end product despite the entry-level status... but as soon as I get my hands on it, I will for sure make a little review.
