RE: DAC op-amp upgrade mis-adventure

I would highly doubt a modern Analog Devices op-amp (they have the reputation to produce the fastest, most finicky op-amps around) to be a "drop in replacement" in a circuit made for the old NE5532.
Even something as "pedestrian" (not really, but compared to AD, everything seems to be) as LM4562 often requires a complete redesign of local decoupling. I've been there many times.
Depending on the circuit, you can very often replace NE5532 with OPA2132P, with great results and without having to add decoupling caps.
I'm afraid your new op-amps might still be oscillating, which isn't always hearable.

Take all this with a pinch of salt, I'm no engineer (far from it), but I upgraded most of my op-amp based circuits and some were a PITA!
