IMHO dBpoweramp is the ripper of choice.
It pulls its meta data from various sources.
It supports AccurateRip so you can verify the correctness of your rips.

Rip to Flac.
Nothing wrong with WAV audio wise but tagging support is abit of a mess. You need the tags to enjoy all the benefits of using a media player instead of a CD player.

The NOVA 300 can be used as a USB DAC.
Connect it to a laptop and use any media player e.g. MusicBee, Foobar and select the NOVA as the audio device
If you run out of space, use a external HD or a NAS.
