Based on the info I've read here, much of which from Abe Collins, I'm going to try the Raspberry Pi. Generic wallwart will do for now.
I have a USB dac and a couple of SPDIF dacs so I'll need and add-on board if I understand the homework I've done.
Suggestions please from those who have gone this route:
Where to buy the Raspberry?
RAM?
Add-on SPDIF?
enclosure (possibly a screen/monitor)?
