Ah, it was a re-issue that you were interested in and which the artist/local recording company was considering but hadn't done.
I would guess that the original issue will have been the source of the download perhaps through some licensing deal he had done. Of course if such a licence has been terminated Qobuz would be unaware of that unless instructed so it would just stay on the server. It might mean that royalties are mistakenly going to the wrong party but of course that never happens in the record industry ;-).
Naturally much repertoire may go out of print in the sense of hard copies as demand has diminished to such as extent that a re-press is uneconomic. But the virtual copies can still be downloaded or streamed.
