Wrong and if you leave your system off for a week or two it takes at least a few hours to recover. Even a day off may take up to an hour. Focus improves. Dimensionality improves. Dynamics are better. I could go on. It's true for the entire system, not just a DAC. And I don't usually drink anything before listening.
