Home Digital Drive

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

Lite Audio CD One + DAC83; Cambridge Audio CD3.

So a choice of TDA1541A (x4) or PCD1704K (x4) DAC chips. The CD3 has a Philips transport in it (CDM1 mkII) for which I have spare lasers, as I do for the CD One transport (whole assemblies).

I use Spotify. Used just this morning for discovering a new album by Joshua Redman - which I will buy on LP, ha! But I particularly enjoy buying all those rare CDs being tossed aside by those keen to jump off yet another bandwagon and entrust all their music supply to the beneficence of a global IT corp. Also stops used CDs from ending up in the Pacific or some landfill somewhere.

A CD is the hand is worth a thousand in the cloud. Audiophile Preppers unite!
