I already have two turntables, two phono stages, a CD transport, a DAC, a preamp, an amp, and a buffer stage for the powered subs; I really don't want to add a server to the mix.
My server is the PC used to type this post that I had long before moving to computer audio. I retired my CD transport years ago and cannot imagine turning back to one-at-a-time disc playback.
dbPoweramp can reduce bit depth upon conversion from FLAC to WAV for burning CDs. I use that for my Honda truck which only supports MP3.
