An AN DAC can still be used for computer audio - all that is required is a USB to S/PDIF(COAX) converter from the likes of M2Tech for $160 or whatever.

Many digital players at all prices points have S/PDIF output. Only when you limit "computer audio" to using a general purpose computer for playback does this necessarily occur. Which is an approach I don't favor. Here's my $200 Raspberry PI based player:
