RE: Levinson 37 read error - TOC / bad disc diagnose & repair help

Did you try cleaning then re-greasing the worm gear that the laser sled rides back and forth on.

Have seen dozens of CD players with TOC errors due to their laser sled inability to move all the way into the HOME position due to a grease/grime buildup (or dried grease) on the worm gear.
