Seeking warm, fat, chunky, big sounding cd player....something that sounds like a budget version of Marantz SA-11S2?

I'm in the market for a new cd player. I've been using a Sony Playstation SPCH-1001 for a while now, but it still sounds small and thin compared to my vinyl setup. I borrowed a Marantz SA-11S2 from a friend of mine and that did the trick. Unfortunately, it's out of my price range. I wonder if Marantz made any less expensive players around the time of the SA-11S2 that may have less resolution and not play SACD but have the same thick, rich, beefy sound? Otherwise, someone recommended a Rega Planet but I am skeptical of buying something that's probably going to wear out quickly or be already problematic. What I want is a warm-sounding cd player with absolutely huge bass. I want a thick, fat sound. Any recommendations? Under $500 used only, please.
