Thanks for your message.
I appreciate the analogy.
BUT....the reason I do not have an iPhone is simple....as my wife and 16 yo daughter both have iPhones. We were going to FL over spring break. Grace and Susie are rocking out to their ipod/iphones......we get to fort meyers airport and i ask my wife to call the limo guy.
"Shoot", she replies,"my phone is out of batteries. I guess i used it all listening to music."
See what I mean?
I take out my trusty Blackberry.....
Please understand that I do believe that computer-based audio is the future. but, many people in this thread have cited reasons why they prefer a cd transport. i am sick and tired of cds. for some reson, over the past year, i just dont seem to put tem back in their jewel boxes anymore.
BUT....I want a mac-based server and I only seek to have a worry-free, hassle-free, tech-needy free way of doing it so that I get great quality.
i am not looking for "refernce quality" as even with a cdp that means $10K+. I want 8/10 quality free of bullshit.
if i found a recipe for a macbook server that listed everything that i need, i would probably do it. in the mean time, i also have a business to run.....;-)
