Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

RE: If it was me I would buy a Rega Saturn

It is difficult to recommend a player without knowing your price constraints. Therfore, I can only recommend what I am currently using which is the Cayin CDT-17A SACD player with tube analog output. Cayin products are engineered in Germany and built in China where labour is dirt cheap and the tax structure is very beneficial for industry and export of products. This results in a very good blast for the buck scenario.
The chassis are heavy, well-built and beautiful and the build quality inside is beyond reproach.
I have not seen better anywhere at any price.
I believe this, their most expensive model has been discontinued, mainly because consumers where buying the less expensive model noting no appreciable difference in performance.
I have had no issues with mine and am totally happy with the sound quality. Redbook CDs sound great and SACDs even better. Transports are SONY and DAC is Burr Brown making repairs (if ever required) easy as parts are readily available in the USA.
Priced well under $2000.00 usd, I feel these represent good value as they perform as well as any player I have heard in the $5000.00 range.

I know they are not built in the good old USA but it's your money..
