RE: wav filenaming convention

I've found there isn't an issue when using Vista Windows Media Player, but don't know about any other operating systems. WMP rips the CDs to Artist/Album/wav file for each song directory structure, with tags embedded in the wav files. I've ripped quite a few CDs to WAV with EAC and then updated the tags using WMP. Vista WMP seems very accurate when ripping; I've ripped CDs using both EAC and WMP and then compared files with EAC and found no differences, except for the tagging area.

I don't see what issues would arise in the future with restoring libraries from archives using the WMP directory and tagging structure. Why make it difficult?
