Rega Saturn or Audio Note CD2.1x II

I'd like to upgrade my CD player. I've really enjoyed my Rega Planet for many years, but I know that my system would benefit from a better digital source. In the past several years I've heard a number of players, and products from Audio Note and Rega are ones that I know I could live with.

It would be nice to be able to audition the Rega Saturn and the Audio Note CD2.1x II as they are both in my budget. The Audio Note will likely be no problem as there is a local dealer who will soon have this recent model on demo. The Saturn will be a problem as there are no dealers at a reasonable proximity who want to bring in a demo, however, all the positive talk about the Saturn has really caught my interest. So I need some advice on how to proceed.

My question is: Should I just go ahead and order the Audio Note CD2.1x II at $3500 because it totally blows away the Saturn, or should I make a big effort to get hold of the Saturn because it is right in the same league as the CD2.1x II at $1100 less?

Ideally I'd like to hear from inmates who are familiar with the Saturn and Audio Note digital players (not necessarily the CD2.1x II as it is a very recent product).

Thanks very much for your input.

P.S. I'd appreciate not having any advice such as PC audio better than CD players, or CD PLAYER XXX is better even though don't know anything about Saturn or CD2.1x II. Thanks
