Re: Audio Alchemy DDE 3.0

Well theres a few things to consider. First off the AA DDE3.0 and Adcom gda600 were both well regarded budget dacs in there day. I dont think the DDE3.0 will be much of an upgrade, more like a step sideways. Second, the DTI pro32 should work well with any dac, since it will lower jitter. With all that being said, I think your wasting your money buying dacs this old. Digital has come a long way since he 90's when these dacs came out. Its gotten much better and less expensive. Like you I also owned the Adcom gda600, it was fed by a Marantz cd63se and AA DTI plus. I thought it sounded great until I heard some of the brand new dacs available now. Im now using a $200 dac connected to my PC, it sounds better than my old digital equipmemtn ever did and cost almost 10x less!!! So if your looking to upgrade your Adcom gda600, id look at some of the new entry level dacs available now. I think youll be surprised how good the sound.

As for the DTI pro32, it will most likely make any dac sound better since it will lower the jitter, but it too is quite old and outdated by now. There are newer anti-jitter boxes that would proably do a better job. Heres a few from most expensive to the least that you may want to check out. Perpetual Tech P1A, Monarchy DIP 24/96, and Behringer src2496.
