DVD player with progressive compnent outputs?

I have an older Samsung TSL2795hf 27in crt hdtv(480p, 1080i capablE) in the bedroom and it doesnt have any of the newer digital video inputs like dvi or hdmi. Im stuck with component only, does this pretty much mean I wont be able to get a progressive scan output to my TV?? My TV already upconverts all SD stuff to 480p but I would think it would give a better quality picture if this was done digitally inside the dvd player rather than in the TV? So are there any dvd players that will output 480p from its component outputs??
