Great mod for Theta Digital TLC jitter filter! (long)

I am a big believer and user of jitter filters. An old HiFi News test report commented that the TLC had lower jitter when the optical input was used because the electrical in/out shared a common ground. Last weekend I finally decided to modify my 8 Theta TLCs which are hard wired in series. The output of the TLC has a digital transformer. Unfortunately, one of the outputs is tied to ground. To isolate the grounds, remove the PCB from the case and unsolder the output transformer. Bend the leg of pin 4 of the output transformer so that it does not go through the hole. The digital output ground should now be pin 4 of the transformer. The dig out signal is the leg of the 75 ohm resistor right next to pin 4. Of course a new output BNC should be installed in, but insulated from the case. I prefer no connectors for ultimate sound quality. I hard wire my filters with Ohm-aha! digital hook-up wire from The Parts Connexion in Canada. Please email me if you would like more info.
