Re: Marantz is more musical, not as quiet or detailed

I seriously doubt im gonna find anything made by Naim for $250! There stuff is way over priced on the used market if you ask me. Nait 2's selling for $500! Im really looking for inexpensive, my main sources are my TT and PC for digital, I just miss being able to pop a cd in and listen without having to start up the computer, especially in the summer, my computer is a AMD dual core, 2gigs OCZ, ATI x1800....etc, higher end stuff and it produces quite a bit of heat. So especially with the hot weather here i would like to be able to listen to a cd without the computer running. So ive barowed my choices to the Marantz cd67se or a newer NAd 521. The NAD is probably the way to go since its newer and less likey to have problems like laser failure and such. But the Marantz is attractive because thier is a wealth of info on the net about upgrading these players, and ive owned one before so i am familiar with it and also have some spare parts for the 63se. I agree tha is not the most detailed or the most powerful in the bass but it is very musicaly involving and does rythm and timing quite well.
