Yes indeed, all the 12 "--" 7 series will work in the 303/300. There is sufficient heater and plate current for them. In fact, the E80CC draws significantly moere plate current and it works fine - plenty of overhead in the power supply. (I called Cary to confirm all this)And I did try the Amperex Bugle Boys. I love that tube in a phono stage, it has a wonderful top end in the 303-300 but it did not have the soundstage of the Tele's.
