Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

preferred dielectrc for bypass C in PS for digital gear?

Which is the best dielectric to use in a cap to bypass the electrolytic filter after the regulator in a 5V supply designed to power a d/a chip?

metalised polystyrene, metalised polyester, metalised polypropylene ?

... and to bypass again with 10nF film and foil construction type using the same type of dielectric?. 10nF teflon/Al foil, would these be any good (any better) here in an axial package, or do we really want radial lead-outs?

thanks,
shane
