Thanks tdarian, appreciate the response.Impressive that the Cary was not quite up to standards. What I should have asked;does or will the DAC2 help with air, seperation, & spacing within the soundstage(inner detail) with redbook cd's.With all recordings I have a wonderfully natural, liquid sound. The sacd and remastered cd's are layered, textured,"live in the room" sound. But many of the redbooks while having a natural, realistic quality are clustered in centerstage or at 3 points., nice but not as satisfying. So what I'm wondering..when you added the DAC2 to your system did it improve the inner detail? Thanks!
