When I got my 308T, I had been using a Powersnake Viper V2 on its predecessor, an Arcam CD92. On the Arcam, the Viper transformed it to a way better level with better dynamics, less digital hash and just much smoother sound. The Viper sucked the life out of the Cary. It sounded better with the stock cord until I tried my preamp cord on it, a TG Audio SLVR. The SLVR pumped up the "T"s dynamics, made the transients lightning fast and extended treble and bass. I ordered another SLVR for my preamp, refusing to remove the SLVR.
