To all DI/O owners: try the 3950 or 60! It is the real thing and is miles ahead of my self-modded DI/O (which has most of the standard mods but is not up to par with the Mensa version). There really is no comparison. I'm stunned that $60 can get this kind of performance: detail resolution, musicality, PRAT, soundstaging. The only area where the 3950 falls short of the DI/O is in bass power (but it's ahead of the DI/O in bass resolution & punchiness). Be aware that it needs at least 20 hours to burn in; out of the box I was unimpressed. The posters here are correct: the 3950/60 has entirely changed this game. My sincere thanks to Rosconey, Vinnie, John Swenson, and others.
