I never tried either you mentioned, although I thought the Cardas design was interesting from a bandwidth standpoint...For every digital cable I do like, there are maybe 10 or even more that I don't care for. (One of many is the Bolder, whose digital model lacks bandwidth and video model has RF bleedthough. I've also tried several published DIY recipes and the results were also indistinguished. I cannot count the suggestions I get over my email...) I've tinkered with Belden as well. The 89108 is maybe the best digital coax I've tried for DIY, but still, eclipsed handily by the DH Labs.
To give you an idea, the ART DI/O can be listened-to for hours with the right digital link, but cannot be listened to for more than ten minutes with some of the lesser ones.
